DigitalHR recently hosted a webinar on the ‘Interrelationship Between Talent Acquisition Success & Business Productivity’. The webinar witnessed the presence of global industry leaders from the Human Resource or Talent Acquisition industry.
The notable speakers were Neha Tayshetye, Head of Talent Acquisition & D&I – Indus Towers Limited, Padmini Giri, Associate Vice President – Talent Acquisition, GlobalLogic, Yogesh Kumar Rustagi, Sr. Director & Head Talent Acquisition and New Hire Training- Concentrix, Atma Godara, Production HR Generalist APAC – Netflix and the moderator, Runa Maitra, Founder & Director of People Talent International.
This live webinar session was held on 19th Aug 2021 from 5.30 PM- 7 PM. The discussion was mainly on how successful talent acquisition plays a crucial role in an organization achieving its business objectives.
The discussion began with Padmini, who is the Associate Vice President – Talent Acquisition, of GlobalLogic who was of the view that the recruiters are the ones who do the entire heavy lifting. They are the ones who have transformed the recruiting function. Padmini during her entire service tenure has seen the transition since the very beginning. Therefore, she feels that it is extremely important to keep the recruiters motivated. Also, their mental well-being must be taken care of.
Next, Yogesh joins the discussion, who is the Sr. Director & Head Talent Acquisition and New Hire Training of Concentrix and has 23 years of experience in this domain. He is of the view that technology has driven the entire recruitment process. The frontline recruiters are the ones who make a huge difference on grounds for each individual. So, thanking them is critical.
The next speaker is Neha with 14+ years of experience and knowledge in the telecom industry. She is the Head of Talent Acquisition & D&I in Indus Towers Limited. In the discussion, she said that times have changed. The way you reach out to people, interview them has gone through a paradigm shift. People in the HR industry are constantly revamping, constantly rethinking the entire process of hiring so that they can succeed in difficult times.
At last, Atma takes his turn to speak. Atma Godara is the Production HR Generalist APAC of Netflix. When asked about his viewpoint from Runa, he spoke about the future of the talent acquisition domain. By 2030, there will be a lot of transition and hiring will be done through social media. He also urged the candidates or people seeking a job to refrain from putting political opinions on social media. They should hold that urge of posting because, in, either way, they will harm your professional career. He said that whatever they are creating or writing on social media, will haunt them back later.
