Facility Operations Manager II - 

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.

Salary: $91,356 to $137,034 | Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facility Operations Manager II to oversee and manage all plant operations, including drum dumping, drum sampling and testing, bulk scale staff, and bulk sampling and testing. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and operational expertise to ensure smooth and efficient facility management while working closely with the General Manager to enhance plant throughput and operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple areas and shifts within the facility, providing leadership to Lab Supervisors, Foremen, and plant/drum staff.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize operations and develop daily production goals across various teams.
• Manage personnel responsibilities including hiring, training, performance appraisals, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and hold staff accountable for meeting these standards.
• Maintain permit-required compliance standards and help in the implementation of the waste analysis plan.
• Support continuous operational improvements and meet production goals.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in plant operations and leadership.
• Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Certifications and Licenses:

• DOT training is required for this role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience in plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck offloading/loading, wastewater treatment, and fuel blending.
• Proficiency with site-specific SOPs and the ability to perform satisfactorily in related assessments.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Primarily a sedentary role with occasional walking and standing, with minimal lifting (typically up to 10 pounds).
• Occasional bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing may be required.
• Ability to use a computer, with a consistent focus on close work such as reading and screen use.
• A respirator fit test is required for the role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The Facility Operations Manager II has supervisory authority over hiring, training, scheduling, and performance appraisals, including making recommendations for promotions and compensation adjustments.

Travel Requirements:

• This role requires less than 10% travel.
