As a CPU Physical Design Engineer, you will work with microarchitecture and RTL design team to implement the designs meeting aggressive power, area and performance goals using industry standard tools/flows. Required Experience Experience with Synthesis, place and route and signoff timing/power analysis. Knowledge of high performance and low power implementation methods Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture, logic design and circuits Preferred qualifications MS in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of experience. Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture. Preferred experience in deep submicron process technology nodes. Familiarity with library cells and optimizations. Proficient in industry-standard tools for synthesis, place & route, and tape out flows. Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with the CPU microarchitecture team to comprehend specifications and evaluate design trade-offs in pipeline and structure sizing. Conduct feasibility studies to validate the implementability, area, timing, and power requirements. Synthesize the Verilog RTL into gate-level designs and perform necessary optimizations. Execute Synthesis, Place & Route on the designs using industry-standard tools and deliver GDS files. Optimize the design at various stages from RTL to GDS to achieve timing, power, and area objectives. Ensure the designs are validated for functional and electrical robustness. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
