She continued by saying that the fact that they could accept Bill [Ready], who shares similar principles, was a credit to Ben’s extraordinary leadership and vision. The Board is eager to collaborate with them both to advance Pinterest’s aim of inspiring everyone to create.
With more than 400 million monthly active users, Pinterest has developed a robust advertising business that has produced solid cash flow and increased revenue during the pandemic.
Ben Silbermann, Executive Chairman, remarked, “Building Pinterest with such a crazily talented, generous, and creative staff has been the gift of a lifetime.” Hundreds of millions of individuals today find inspiration on Pinterest for all aspects of their lives. We’ve established a flourishing international company that bases everything we do on the welfare of our customers. And that’s only the beginning.
Additionally, he stated that their main goal is to assist Pinners in pursuing all the wonderful ideas they come across. He warmly welcomes Ready, who is a fantastic leader for this change and shares their goal of establishing a wholesome Internet community.
Ready is leaving Google, where he was President of Commerce, Payments, & Next Billion Users, to join Pinterest. He focused on Google’s vision, strategy, and the way its commerce products are delivered. Before joining PayPal, Ready had several senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. His former companies include ADP, Williams-Sonoma, Venmo, and Braintree.
The University of Louisville awarded Ready his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Finance, and Harvard Business School awarded him his Master of Business Administration.
Bill Ready, Pinterest’s CEO No time is better to sign up for Pinterest, according to Ready. “Ben and the Pinterest team’s brand, platform, and everything the Company stands for is things I have long appreciated. To develop the Company’s ecosystem and generate more value for shareholders, I am eager to build on that basis. I have a profound understanding of what it takes to develop a firm like this to the next level because I have created numerous businesses from scratch and worked at the scale of billions of users. To take advantage of the numerous opportunities that lie ahead and usher in Pinterest’s next chapter of development and success, I look forward to cooperating closely with Ben, the Board, and the rest of the leadership team.
