The earlier senior VP – HR and industrial relations, at Aditya Birla Group, Ranjan Banerjee, has recently been appointed Chief HR officer at Epsilon Carbon.
Banerjee obtained his post-graduation degree in industrial relations and social work, from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Mr. Banerjee then finished his HR executive program in HR from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business in the year 2005.
Banerjee has also remained the HR manager at ITC when he was leading the initiatives off-campus recruitment. He implemented the best recruitment strategies for 6 years there. Next, he joined Saregama India as the chief officer where he worked for two years. His job responsibility was to head the HR department for the media and entertainment business of RPG Enterprises and was also given the responsibility of HR functions for the cinema, Music, TV, events, digital and print media business venture.
Next, he joined Vodafone where he is an associate vice president of human resources for the next six years. He headed the entire HR functions for Vodafone’s West Bengal circles. He also worked as the vice president of human resources at the India Power Corporation and was directly reporting to the CEO.
During his tenure at the Aditya Birla Group from the year 2015 to 2021, he developed the best HR function processes and people functions strategy and led the cultural transformation agenda. Currently, being the true people manager at Epsilon Carbon, Banerjee will be responsible for leading the cultural and people agenda and will be reporting directly to Saiprasad Jadhav, the CEO of Epsilon Carbon.
