With the Covid-19 pandemic spreading like Wildfire, organizations are now allowing their employee to work remotely. This period is currently seeing a lot of demand in hiring process and has increased almost by 10% in the last three months. As per the data from the Monster Employment Index, this notable change in the entire hiring process has been estimated. The overall job posting got boosted by almost 8% year-on-year which indicates that there has been a huge number of hiring.
The IT-Hardware industry has witnessed a surge in the hiring of professionals to 39%, in metropolitan cities. Again, hiring for top management in the MNCs indicated a remarkable surge of 69%, from July 2020 to July 2021.
The talent pooling activity or hiring in metropolitan cities like Bengaluru increased to 57%, Pune to 35%, and Chennai to 29%. This indicates a major change in the recruitment process after the pandemic. Also, the demand for professionals in the Hardware, Software, and Telecom industry continued showing an uptrend with a 42% year-on-year rise in job postings nation-based, as per recent reports.
Metropolitan cities to see an uptick of hiring activities
Online hiring increased exceedingly in July 2021 with 16 out of 27 industries beginning to hire more and more employees. For instance, the job posting in the travel and tourism industry saw a bit steep of 16%. Again, other industries like shipping and Marine saw a 14% rise in the hirings, automation to 9%, real-estate to 9%, BFSI to 32% so on. However, the government sector hiring saw a decline of almost -3% in various sectors like PSU and defense.
Hiring activity saw a rise in most of the metropolitan cities like Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and others.
The hospitality and travel industry will see a surge in hiring
The hospitality and travel industry witnessed a surge in the number of job postings and hiring from June 2021 to July 2021 with the reopening of various tourists attractions as the government has started to impose ease in Covid-19 restrictions. The Healthcare industry saw an uptick with the huge number of hiring of frontline healthcare workers in the healthcare centers and hospitals this year.
